Managing Your Copy Settings

Accessing Copy Settings

Navigate to Copy Trading > Settings (/dashboard/copy-trading/settings) to manage all your copy trading configurations.

Per-Leader Settings

Each leader you follow has independent settings:

Risk Multiplier

  • Range: 0.1x to 3.0x

  • Default: 1.0x

  • Impact: Scales the leader's risk percentage up or down

  • Change applies to: New trades only (existing positions are not affected)

Maximum Leverage

  • Range: 1x to 50x

  • Default: 10x

  • Impact: Caps the leverage on any single copy trade

  • Tip: Start conservative (5-10x) and increase only after monitoring

Allocation

  • Range: 1% to 100% of your wallet equity

  • Default: 100%

  • Impact: Limits how much of your portfolio can be used for this leader's trades

Symbols Filter (optional)

  • Restrict copy trading to specific symbols (e.g., only BTC and ETH)

  • Leave empty to copy all symbols the leader trades

Global Copy Settings

  1. Go to Settings (/dashboard/settings)

  2. Click Emergency Halt

  3. All copy subscriptions are paused

  4. No new copy trades will execute

  5. Existing positions remain open

Default Risk Parameters

Set platform-wide defaults that apply when you follow new leaders:

  • Default risk multiplier

  • Default max leverage

  • Default allocation percentage

Best Practices

  1. Start with low risk multiplier (0.5x) until you understand the leader's trading style

  2. Set conservative leverage caps — even if the leader uses 20x, you don't have to

  3. Diversify across leaders — don't allocate 100% to one leader

  4. Monitor regularly — check the Risk Dashboard for resized or rejected trades

  5. Use testnet first — practice with fake money before going live
