Trading Issues

"Insufficient free margin"

What it means: You don't have enough available margin for the requested trade.

How to fix:

  • Close some existing positions to free up margin

  • Add more funds to your Hyperliquid account

  • Reduce position sizes in your risk settings

"Leverage cap exceeded"

What it means: The trade would exceed your maximum leverage setting.

How to fix:

  • Increase your max leverage in Settings (only if you're comfortable with the risk)

  • Reduce position size — smaller positions use less leverage

  • The Risk Engine may automatically resize the trade to fit within your cap

"Daily loss limit reached"

What it means: Your realized losses for today have exceeded the daily loss limit you set.

How to fix:

  • Wait until the next trading day — the limit resets daily

  • Increase your daily loss limit in Settings (not recommended unless intentional)

"Maximum drawdown exceeded"

What it means: Your account has dropped too far from its peak equity.

How to fix:

  • Review your positions and consider closing losing trades

  • Reduce your risk settings to prevent further losses

  • Increase your max drawdown limit in Settings (carefully)

"Maximum positions reached"

What it means: You've hit your limit for concurrent open positions.

How to fix:

  • Close existing positions before opening new ones

  • Increase your max positions limit in Settings


Copy Trading Issues

Copy trades not executing

Possible causes:

  • Your wallet doesn't have enough margin

  • Risk Engine is resizing or rejecting trades (check Risk Dashboard)

  • The leader hasn't made any new trades

  • You may have paused copy trading or activated Emergency Halt

Position sizes seem too small

This is likely working as intended — HyperSync normalizes position sizes based on your account equity, not the leader's. See Risk Normalization.


Signal Issues

TradingView signal not appearing in HyperSync

  • Verify your webhook URL is correct

  • Check that your TradingView plan supports webhooks (paid plans only)

  • Ensure the JSON format is valid (see Alert Format)

  • Verify your webhook token matches

Signal received but not traded

  • Check the signal status on the Signals page

  • Ensure you have an active subscription that matches the signal's symbol and strategy

  • Check the Risk Dashboard for rejection reasons


Wallet Issues

Wallet balance shows $0

  • Balances sync every few minutes — wait and refresh

  • Verify your API key is still valid on Hyperliquid

  • Try removing and reconnecting the wallet

"Invalid API key" error

Your API key may have been revoked or expired on Hyperliquid. Generate a new API key and reconnect your wallet.


Account Issues

Can't log in

  • Forgot password? Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page

  • Wallet login not working? Make sure your wallet extension is unlocked and connected

  • Email not verified? Check your inbox (including spam) for the verification link

Dashboard shows no data

  • Connect a Hyperliquid wallet first

  • Wait for the initial balance sync to complete

  • Try refreshing the page
