Connecting a Hyperliquid Wallet

To trade on Hyperliquid through HyperSync, you need to connect at least one wallet.

Wallet Connection Methods

Method 1: API Key

Hyperliquid allows you to generate API keys with specific permissions.

Steps to create an API key on Hyperliquid:

  1. Connect your wallet and navigate to Settings > API

  2. Click Generate API Key

  3. Enable: Trading permissions only

  4. Disable: Withdrawal permissions (critical for safety)

  5. Copy the API Key and API Secret

Steps to connect in HyperSync:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > Wallets (/dashboard/wallets)

  2. Click Connect Wallet

  3. Select API Key as the connection type

  4. Paste your API key and secret

  5. Optionally set a label (e.g., "Main Trading", "Testnet")

  6. Click Connect

Your credentials are encrypted and stored securely.

Method 2: Agent Wallet

Agent wallets are sub-wallets that can execute trades on behalf of your main wallet.

Steps to create an Agent wallet on Hyperliquid:

  1. Navigate to Settings > API

  2. Click Create Agent Wallet

  3. Set the agent's permissions (trading only)

  4. Save the private key securely

Steps to connect in HyperSync:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > Wallets (/dashboard/wallets)

  2. Click Connect Wallet

  3. Select Agent Wallet as the connection type

  4. Paste the agent wallet private key

  5. Enter the associated main wallet address

  6. Click Connect

Managing Connected Wallets

View Balances

Each connected wallet displays:

  • Total Equity: Your total account value including unrealized PnL

  • Free Margin: Available margin for new trades

  • Positions: Number of open positions

  • Last Synced: When balances were last updated

Balances sync automatically every few minutes.

Remove a Wallet

  1. Go to Wallets page

  2. Find the wallet you want to remove

  3. Click the delete icon

  4. Confirm removal

Note: Removing a wallet from HyperSync does not affect your Hyperliquid account. Your funds remain safe on-chain.

Multiple Wallets

You can connect multiple wallets and assign different wallets to different features:

  • Wallet A for copy trading

  • Wallet B for strategy execution

  • Wallet C for TradingView signals

This allows you to isolate risk across different trading approaches.
